Know someone who loves coffee? This may give you an idea for a gift:) With some Starbucks inspiration to create a piece of work with this theme, this was a great project to work on during the weekends. Started by selecting a few pieces of green patterned cardstock and printed some Starbucks logos in different sizes.
For the cover, I took the two pieces of different patterned cardstocks and attached them back-to-back with a thin coat of spray mount. This gave it extra thickness :)
Measure the length of the cover and mark the middle, then draw a line ( this will guide you when you sew later) For the inner pages, I took 8-10 pages of 165gm of drawing block papers, attached the cover on it with 2 wooden pins and sew across the line that I've drawn earlier. Once done, fold the book in half. With a sharp penknife, trim the edges. Using a round edge cutter, trim the edges of the pages. Create a black band out of black cardstock. Cut out one of the printed logo and with a circle cutter, cut out another white circle to layer the logo on before pasting it on the band. Be creative and innovative to spice this up more in the time that you have...create coffee mug stains on the pages inside or keep it plain. These are some photos that what the journal looked in the end :) Or pair it with some homebake Frappuccino cupcakes with caramel topping, not forgetting adding a lil green straw on the top. Create some color contrast by wrapping the cupcake cases with black color papers with stick printed logos on each one of them. That's all! Till the next time :)

After a few suggested me to share the post with Starbucks, I did :) This was probably the first time sharing it out of the walls of my personal site, and I was glad to receive a reply to confirm they did read it! :) I learn when there's opportunity to share your works, do not second doubt yourself. Instead, go ahead and share them!
